about Dr David Chandrakumar
Dr David Chandrakumar graduated with his medical degree and Masters in Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2014, being awarded distinction in both degrees and the Ian Webster medal in recognition of his performance.
He completed his internship and residency in Westmead Hospital, followed by basic physician training at Nepean Hospital. Dr Chandrakumar went on to complete his speciality training in Cardiology at Blacktown Hospital in 2021.
He has had extensive involvement in research since medical school, with his projects being presented in Cardiology and Sports Medicine conferences in Australia, North America and Europe. Dr Chandrakumar has also had extensive involvement in the training of medical students and junior medical staff.
He has admitting rights at Norwest Private Hospital, where he performs transoesphageal echocardiography and cardioversion. He is working towards his cardiac CT accreditation.
